The honeycomb seals supplied by MAT for SGT5‑9000HL and SGT6‑9000HL heavy‑duty gas turbines have successfully passed FPQ and obtained Unconditional Release status.
Supported by a well‑developed FPQ production plan, stringent process control and a full‑spectrum quality inspection system, the serial‑produced honeycomb seals delivered in this project meet all requirements for dimensional accuracy, performance and reliability. The products have been formally granted Unconditional Release (UR) and entered stable serial‑supply status. This breakthrough demonstrates MAT’s profound process expertise, proven manufacturing competence and robust quality management capabilities in high‑end heavy‑duty gas turbine seal solutions.
Expansion of cooperation for new categories and engines
MAT has officially launched the manufacturing and FPQ program covering eight part numbers of sheet‑metal components for Siemens Energy’s 5‑9000 gas turbine engine. This expands the product portfolio for the Siemens Energy partnership and further completes the company’s manufacturing system for precision gas‑turbine components. In parallel, development work is underway for three new honeycomb seal variants for the Siemens Energy SGT6‑5000F gas turbine.
