Maanshan MAT Aviation Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (MAT Aviation) is a high-tech manufacturer specializing in the development and manufacture of metallic honeycomb structures, materials and turbine components.

Our core capabilities include proprietary automated honeycomb manufacturing equipment and processes, electron beam welding and brazing.

Our products include metal honeycomb cores and structures, honeycomb seals for gas turbines and aero-engines, electromagnetic shielding materials including EMI shielding honeycomb vents, metallic substrates, honeycomb flow straighteners, acoustic liners and customized energy-absorbing and anti-collision structures.

These products serve aerospace, energy and environmental protection, electronic communications, transportation safety and other industrial applications.

Located in Yushan Economic Development Zone, Maanshan, Anhui, China, near the intersection of the Hechang and Ningma Expressways, MAT Aviation occupies a site of more than 35,000 m², with a total building area of 24,000 m².

The site includes production workshops, office buildings, employee dormitories and landscaped grounds. We employ 150 people, including more than 30 technical professionals.

MAT Aviation is  AS9100 certified and holds Nadcap accreditations for  nondestructive testing (NDT),   welding,        nonconventional machining  and heat treating.

Our manufacturing equipment includes:

• 20 automated laser honeycomb welding machines

• 10 large high-temperature vacuum brazing and heat treatment furnaces, with a maximum workpiece processing diameter of 2 meters

• 2 electron beam welding machines

• 15 wire electrical discharge machining (EDM) machines

• 9 machining centers

• 8 CNC vertical and horizontal lathes, with a maximum turning diameter of 4 meters

Our inspection capabilities include coordinate measuring machines (CMM), X-ray inspection and fluorescent inspection.
